Don't get yourself confused with the title, Yes I'm talking about Kedarkantha not Kedarnath. Kedarkantha is one of the best winter treks in India, Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand located within the govind wildlife sanctuary in Uttarkashi district, Its elevation is 12,500 ft. 


Why Kedarkantha trek is so popular?

The Kedarkantha trek is widely popular between the youths because it is a beginner level trek, So the one with less trekking experience also can easily do this trek and most importantly the amount of snow you can find here in winter season. You can never find such views from anywhere else.


Which is the best time to do this trek and can we do it solo?

The best time to do this trek is in winters from December to April , Because you mostly get to see the fresh snow in these months. I would recommend to do this trek with a good trekking organization because this is a high altitude trek and the temperature is so low up there, so arranging all Those essential things there might be difficult for you alone.

How long this trek is and how much it will cost?

The Kedarkantha trek is normally a 6 day trek from the base camp that is sankri or kotgaon. Now how much it will cost? So if you've decided to do this trek solo then the cost will depend up to you. or if you want to do this trek with an trekking organization then it will cost around Rs. 8,000-10,000 . 

You can do your trek with Indian Hikes or KailashRath treks . These are some of the most experienced and trustable organization that will help you to do this summit easily.
