 The Valley Of Flowers 


From the name you might've predicted what this blog is going to be about. but trust me it is more then just beautiful flowers. Valley Of Flower’s legendary popularity – it is one of India’s oldest known treks. In 1980, Indian government created the Valley of flowers National park, and later in 2002, it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This pushed Valley of Flowers on the bucket list of trekkers from around the world.


What makes Valley of flowers trek famous?

The trek of Valley of flowers goes through dense forests, along with Pushpawati river and can be reached by crossing many bridges, glaciers and waterfalls on the way. The valley is rich in its flora and fauna, you can find flora such as Orchids, Poppies, Primulas Calendulas, Daisies and Anemones. and fauna including Tahr, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Red Fox, Common Langur, Bharal, Serow, Himalayan Black Bear, Himalayan Brown Bear.


Which is the best time to do this trek and can we do it solo?

This trek is open from the month of June but the best season to visit is between July to September But here is the interesting thing, You'll never find the valley same in any month. sometime it is lush green with vibrant flowers, sometime it is rainy with blooming flowers and sometime there is very less flowers but with clear sky and rich landscape. Yes it is a moderate level trek, so you can do it solo.


how long is this trek and how much it will coast?

It is a 6 day trek from the basecamp which is Govind Ghat in Uttarakhand, This trek will cost you around 10,000 INR if you do it solo and if you do with an organization, then it will cost you around 8,000 INR.
